NOVA SCOTIA ASSOCIATION OF CHEFS & COOKS

Hello Chefs & Cooks

I would like to take this time to thank the NSACC chefs and cooks who have supported the Chefs for UNICEF event last year and the previous fifteen years. The teamwork and workmanship that is displayed each year adds to the success of the event. It is that time of year to start organizing the Chefs for UNICEF 2009 event. The event this year will be held on March 4, 2009 at the WTTC.

The first order of business is to make all members aware that if you want to participate in the Chefs for UNICEF 2009 event you will need to contact Chef Sean Doucet or Chef Don “Busch” Dubay. The cut off for this will be September 30, 2008. This is a major fundraiser and a great networking opportunity for the NSACC chefs and cooks. The committee will be selecting the teams on a first come for first selection. An important note is, if you want to be a lead chef of a destination you will need to be a paid up member of the NSACC. This will be an important point that the committee reviews when making the list of chefs toparticipate.

When the selections of the teams is made, you will be contacted and we will ask you to submit two locations that you would like to prepare food for and the committee will advise you on which you will have.

The Chefs for UNICEF committee has created guidelines for all chefs and cooks to follow as to menu, equipment, staffing, time commitment, timelines to have information submitted and how to handle your finances.

Please contact us early if you want to participate this year. You can email or phone us at:
